Job Role

-Host/Hostess presents a positive first impression of the establishment’s friendliness, excellent service and high standards.

-Greets Guests upon arrival, inform Guests of their wait time, monitor a waiting list, enter Guest names into a log, show Guests to their table and bid Guests farewell as they leave.

-Performs light housekeeping duties such as cleaning/polishing glasses and menus.

-As a member of an energetic team, Host/Hostess may also need to answer phones and take reservations.

Duties & Responsibilities

-Upon starting the shift the host/ess reviews the reservations, follows up on double bookings in different outlets and checks all special occasions and amenity requests (flowers/cakes etc.).

-Informs the Restaurant Supervisor or Head Waiter about special occasions and amenity requests.

-Has an in-depth knowledge about the menus (food and beverage) and the weekly restaurant program and is well informed about hotel procedures.

-Escorts guests to tables, assists with chair seating. May offer an aperitif and/or water/drink and wishes the guest a pleasant evening.

-Informs respective waiter about the name and room number of the table and, if appropriate, about aperitif or drink order.

-Ensures full guest satisfaction upon the departure of the guests.

-Reports all accidents, health and safety hazards to the head waiter or Restaurant Supervisor immediately.

-Executes other duties as may be assigned by a supervisor from time to time due to operational needs.

Requirements

-Previous experience as a Host/Hostess at a hotel

-Excellent knowledge of English. Knowledge of Greek or any other language will be considered as an advantage

-Ability to work in a fast pace environment and cope under pressure

-Computer Literate

-Excellent interpersonal skills in handling guest complaints

Συμπλήρωση απαραίτητων εντύπων για ενημέρωση της παραγωγής και ορθό προγραμματισμό εκτέλεσης της παραγγελίας.• Διαχείριση Ταμείου• Καταγραφή και πρώτη διαχείριση παραπόνων πελατών είτε τηλεφωνικώς είτε από κοντά και παροχή λύσεων. Ενημέρωση του προϊστάμενου για το περιστατικό και λήψη επιπρόσθετων μέτρων εάν κριθεί απαραίτητο από την Διοίκηση.• Διατήρηση του χώρου πωλήσεων καθαρού και τακτοποιημένου. Οργάνωση του πόστου και γέμισμα με όλα τα υλικά και αναλώσιμα (ποτήρια/ κουτιά προϊόντων/ καλαμάκια/ ετικέτες κλπ.) και ότι άλλο είναι απαραίτητο για την εύρυθμη λειτουργία του καταστήματος και εξυπηρέτηση του πελάτη.
