SIXT Garage Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily car service operations to ensure exceptional customer service, efficient work processes and quality of workmanship. This role involves managing a team of technicians, service advisors, and support staff while working closely with other departments to maintain a high level of performance and coordination throughout the company.
Responsibilities:
o Manage service department employees, including technicians, service advisors, and support staff, to ensure efficient and effective operations.
o Giving timescales for jobs.
o Develop and maintain effective relationships with other departmental managers to ensure efficient coordination and communication between departments.
o Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies related to service department operations, including health & safety, environmental, and customer service standards.
o Provide guidance, training, and support to service department employees to improve performance, develop skills, and enhance career growth opportunities.
o Monitor service department performance through the use of key performance indicators (KPIs) and enforcing corrective actions as needed to improve results.
o Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping to minimize loss and promote profitability while ordering parts and equipment. Ensure efficient use of resources and manage departmental budgets.
o Managing budgets, work orders, way bills and invoices in co-operation with the sales advisory team.
o Assisting with recruiting and training technicians and mechanics to work in the service station.
o Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
o Maintain accurate records of service department activities according to the SIXT Service Standards.
o Report directly and receive instructions from the Larnaka Station/Fleet Manager.
Qualifications:
o The successful candidate must be a Government Certified Mechanic.
o Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
o High school diploma although Bachelor's degree in automotive technology, business administration, or a related field is preferred and will be considered as additional qualification.
o 2+ years of experience in an automotive service department with a management role considered as highly preferable.
o Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
o Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
o Knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
o Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of automotive service management software.
o Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
