Very rare! Unique antique pair of figures of two polar bears after a successful seal hunt, made in the Art Deco style by the famous German porcelain manufactory Gräfenthal in the period 1900-1920.

An unusually realistic sculptural pair of figures, fully reflecting the character and strength of wild animals, made of magnificent glazed porcelain and decorated with overglaze hand painting with polychrome enamels.

Judging by the underglaze mark, which is cut out at the bottom on the back of each figure number 2961, both figures together make up a collectible pair. Manufactured in the 19200-1920s.

Since 1846, when the first porcelain factory was founded in the small town of Gräfenthal, one of the principles of the factory's work was to preserve the skills of artistic porcelain decoration. Despite the modernization in the porcelain production industry that has taken place since then, the factory has maintained manual porcelain production.

A very beautiful, exquisite sculptural couple.

The height of each figurine is 16 cm, the width is 19 cm.
