Cloth backed in slip case
This is a beautiful, very rare and hard to find first edition gift set produced in 2000 by Bloomsbury. It includes the lovely deluxe cloth backed hard cover copies of the first four books in the Harry Potter series. This was the first time the books were presented in this fashion.
Each book is cloth backed and features the title and author's signature in gift lettering, along with a gift edged illustration, on the front cover. The title and author's name, and the Bloomsbury logo appear on the spines. Page edging is also gold coloured, and each book has an integral cloth page marker.
The books are of the following issues:
* The Philosopher's Stone 1999 - First edition 7th printing
* The Chamber of Secrets 1999 - First edition 7th printing
* The Prisoner of Azkaban 1999 - First edition 8th printing
* The Goblet of Fire 2000 - First Edition 3rd printing
'The Prisoner of Azkaban' also has the copyright Joanne Rowling error
The slipcase is covered in red cloth and features images of the Howard's Express and author's signature on each side, and the names of all four books, again with the signature on the back, all in gift printing.
The books are in excellent condition having never been read, and only removed from box for photographing purposes. More photos available.
The slipcase does have some slight wear and discolouration from storage, but nothing major.
