Seiko 7025-8099 Poor Man’s 62MAS the rarest and the last production of the models 7005-8050 & 7005-8052
This is one of my favorite all around watch it’s a sports diver’s that fit nicely under your sleeve on a dress occasion, I like it so much that I have collected 7 identical pieces through the past 5 years.
The 7025-8099 was produced only in 1977 *between June to December of 1977). when spotted in your hand Seiko connoisseurs can easily date this watch back to the year 1977 .
The differences between the 7025-8099 and its predecessors; bracelet and casing remained identical
Improved movement (7005 was replaced with the 7025)
On the bezel a triangle was added around the 12 o’clock pip
On the bezel hash marks were added between 12 o’clock and 3 o’clock
On the dial, the wording “WATER 70 PROOF” was removed.
The tiny seconds marks of the dial are all of the same thickness and thinner in comparison to the older version 7005-8050 & 7005-8052 (you need to have both models next to each other to spot the difference).
This watch is serviced and keeps excellent time; all parts of the watch are original including the bracelet.
