Large, beautiful, extraordinarily realistic porcelain sculpture of a bulldog dog, produced by the porcelain manufactory ERNST BOHNE SONS Rudolstadt, Germany. This is what real bulldogs, the ancestors of modern bulldogs, looked like in the 19th century.
Porcelain, hand-painted overglaze. Excellent detailing in the molding and painting of the figure.
On the bottom of the sculpture, under the paint layer in the test, model number 3369 and the EBS mark, used by ERNST BOHNE SONS Rudolstadt in the period 1854-1900.
Height 20 cm. Length 24 cm. Width 10 cm.
Excellent collectible condition! There are no visible damages, cracks, chips, abrasions, including manufacturing defects. There are no traces of restoration or any interventions.
