Fisher 30 - custom sloop

Fisher 30 motor sailor, hull laid by Robert Ives, UK 1972 (kept ashore for 14 years unused) custom fitted out by previous owner for launching by 1991. Powered by BMC 35hp engine (1990), Honda genset, solar panels, Accom for 2/4 throughout. A fantastic little yacht well equipped for Med cruising. These yachts are of 'old school' quality built. Unlike other Fishers 30's, this one is a sloop, with an open rear cockpit and tiller, sloped windshield to the front and different interior setup. It was custom built from the Hull and up. Built like a tank and never said no to me.

Currently used as a live-aboard so it has everything needed and more. The sailing vessel is being used almost every day. New batteries, enough solar to launch a space shuttle, engine works fine, all sailing gear functions as it should. Spinnaker, Furler Jib and Main, storm Jib. Wind Vane autopilot, Sailing Dinghy. Brand new Marine Washing Machine, Air Conditioner and more.

The Main and Genoa are brand new from North Sails, Made out of RADIAN Cloth which is much superior to typical Dacron.

Construction

GRP Hull 5 x Coats of solvent free epoxy below waterline prior to launch.

Superstructure

Kite marked sea dock plywood on Iroka frame all sealed and treated before epoxy sheathed with eglass making weatherproof and assistance free finish GRP, encapsulated keel, Spade rudder, Steering wheel and tiller. Hull moulded in 1972. Dried out abank until launched in 1991. Aft cockpit.

Machinery

BMC 1.5 35H.P engine (1990). Jabsco salt water pump (new 2023) Engine original water circulating pump (new - Oct 2014)BMC diesel lift pump (new - Oct 2014) 3 bladed, bronze propeller, shaft driven. Honda Ex 1,000 generator (1.000KVA)

Electrics

12V and 240V on board systems. Charging via bank, solar panels, wind generator, Mobile Power 1000W continuous inverter, 40A charger. Shore potential. 4 x AGM 6v 200A domestic batteries (2023) 100A engine battery (2021) 70A split diode for charging everything from the engine, Sterling 12V alternator booster. 500w wind generator.
