Vintage 1950s irish wade porcelain set w/creamer/sugar bowl/salter/3 eggs holder
- Condition: Used
Rare and unique set of Wade irish porcelain NOW ONLY €119,90
This circa 1950-60’s beautiful milk jug/ creamer, sugar bowl, salter and 3 eggs holder set by Wade Irish Porcelain and designed by James Borsey in the 1950s, is in like new condition with no chips, cracks or crazing
The pattern was originally called “Tear Drop”, but later became known as “Raindrop”, a rather more positive name than the original! It features raised vertical ridges that each come to a point in a dusty brown-green with a gorgeous blue interior. The greenish hue also fades into blue toward the very bottom of each piece. Both pieces are marked on the bottom “Wade Irish Porcelain”, “Made in Ireland” with some Gaelic text below. I am uncertain of the translation.
Irish porcelain is very sturdy, and could be used as an everyday item, but this little set is so beautiful it could just sit in a display cabinet attracting attention. Your guest won’t walk by it without asking questions. So unique!
