Job title: Assistant Accountant General Duties and Responsibilities. Daily Recording & Updating of accounting system. General Accounting Work Specific Responsibilities. 1. Receives branches daily entries, checks, enters and verifies them into the accounting system as follows:  Verification of all Debit entries according to existing agreements and company policy  Verification of the correctness of all branch entries and reconciliation of daily cash register (bank deposits, money returns for fuel etc.), Cash Reports, debits / returns via credit cards etc. 2. Clarifies ambiguous issues with the Branch Managers and seeks the assistance of his/ her supervisor or other involved Managers when in doubt on the correctness of data and/or entries. 3. Issues and maintains, in relevant archive, copies of all invoices sent to customers. 4. Verifies all customer – supplier account data and informs his/her Supervisor and/ or General Manager of any arrears / delays in payoff. 5. Issues receipts and sends them to customers 6. Verifies and registers, into the accounting system, any received products, materials and services. 7. Prepares supplier payments and enters these payments into the accounting system. 8. Executes accounting work as per supervisor instructions such as, VAT entries, completion of tax returns, preparation of employee salaries etc. 9. Follows all employee / work regulations and company dress code. 10. Executes / undertakes any other related duties as defined by his/her supervisor. 11. Other responsibilities as defined by company procedures. Qualities: a) Accounting Studies or High School Diploma with 1 year experience in a related position. b) Good computer knowledge and usage of programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word. c) Experience in using accounting programs. d) Good Knowledge of Greek and English. e) Confidentiality, responsibility and communication/ cooperation ability.
