KEF XQ3 Reference speakers that have been modified for better sound performance in small rooms. The original XQ3 design used a bass reflex port, which caused excessive bass resonance and distortion due to reflections from walls and furniture in smaller spaces. As a result, the speakers have been modified with a sealed enclosure, similar to the one used in the KEF XQ2C center channel.

• Sealed Enclosure Conversion: This modification eliminates unwanted distortions and controls the bass. The sealed design provides a precise, non-boomy, and controlled bass response, with no undesirable reflections from walls or furniture.
• Original Drivers: All drivers are original, in perfect condition, with no alterations or repairs.
• Retention of Original Detail and Soundstage: The modification has no impact on the overall sound detail or soundstage, which remain of the highest quality.
• Smaller Size: The speakers are now more compact, making them ideal for spaces where bass control and accurate sound reproduction are important.
