Job Title: Head WaiterReports to: Restaurant Manager / Food and Beverage ManagerJob Summary:The Head Waiter is responsible for overseeing the dining room staff, ensuring that guests receive exceptional service, and that operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep knowledge of food and beverage services. The Head Waiter is also responsible for training, mentoring, and assisting the wait staff in providing top-notch customer service.Key Responsibilities:Supervision and Leadership:Oversee the daily operations of the dining room, ensuring all activities align with the restaurant's standards and policies.Lead, motivate, and manage the wait staff, ensuring they perform their duties effectively and courteously.Assign and coordinate tasks among the staff to ensure efficient and smooth service.Customer Service:Greet guests upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and ensure their needs are met throughout their dining experience.Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests, ensuring a positive dining experience.Monitor the dining room to ensure guests are satisfied and respond promptly to any issues.Training and Development:Train new wait staff in customer service, menu knowledge, and service procedures.Provide ongoing training and support to staff to maintain high standards of service.Mentor team members and foster a positive and collaborative work environment.Order and Service Coordination:Take food and beverage orders from guests when necessary, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.Liaise between the kitchen and the dining room to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.Manage the flow of service, ensuring orders are served in a timely manner and according to restaurant standards.Inventory and Supplies:Monitor and manage dining room supplies, including linens, silverware, glassware, and condiments.Ensure that the dining area is properly set up and maintained throughout service.Assist in managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed.Health and Safety Compliance:Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations in the dining area.Address any potential hazards promptly and ensure the dining room is clean and orderly.Reporting:Assist in creating reports on customer feedback, staff performance, and dining room operations.Communicate effectively with management about any issues or opportunities for improvement.Qualifications:Proven experience as a waiter, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or head waiter role.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.Excellent knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine and cocktail knowledge.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.High level of professionalism, with strong attention to detail.Ability to handle difficult situations with tact and grace.Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and other restaurant management software.Physical Requirements:Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.Capability to lift and carry items such as trays, plates, and glasses.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Program 15:00-21:00 Monday to Friday/ Saturday-Sunday between 10:00-22:00. Salary 1200 net / 160 hours per month. Full-time contract.
