About me
Hello, my name is Andreanì and i come from Lamìa, Greece! I'm Cypriot too, since my mother is from Cyprus, the island of Aphrodite! I studied Greek literature at the Democritus University of Thrace (Duth), Komotinì, where i specialized in ancient Greek and Latin. I've been preparing students for their lessons at school for the past 10 years.
When i was a kid, i discovered my passion for languages, i used to buy dictionaries from a bookshop! Then, i did Erasmus in Genova, Italy, and my transformation journey began. I got to know so many ethnicities, practise Italian and all my languages, travel all over Italy and Europe and discover that languages make us one and we are all equal.
So, i know teach modern Greek to adults, foreigners who love Greece or come from Greece, but live abroad, or to persons who got married to a Greek.
And i am here, because i want to make it as my full time job. My dream is to work from distance, while volunteering around the world and becoming the best version of myself. In 2022, i volunteered in Ithaca (Greece), where i gathered olives, and in Syros (Greece), in a cat shelter.
Among my hobbies are animals (i have 3 cats), volunteering, EDM, writing, movies, ethical living and other things. Recently, i started learning about permaculture and i love it.
I have 10 years of experience as a Greek teacher to foreigners. I am a certified teacher from the Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH) and my lessons are focused only in daily conversation practice, so i do not accept absolute beginners, you need to have, at least, a solid basis of understanding in Greek. I do not teach Grammar. In addition, i can also help learners who want to get fluency in Greek through literature.
I make use of Google Doc, where we will be keeping track of our material, which will be different each time, depending on your needs/interests and what you want to achieve. There is an enormous amount of learning material out there and mine too, so you'll never get bored! I'm a creative person with lots of ideas, very hard-working and you'll never get bored!
