Job description
This rooftop lounge restaurant in Nicosia is looking for an experienced and passionate Manager to join our team. As a Manager, you will overtake a variety of responsibilities and duties such as lounge restaurant management strategies, recruiting and hiring staff, training, overseeing food and beverage quality, greeting and serving guests, and ensuring that company standards and targets are met. The successful candidate will be closely working with the general management and owner.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee the entire lounge restaurant operation.
• Develop and implement operational procedures to enhance efficiency and guest experience.
• Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally and effectively.
• Collaborate with the culinary and bar team to ensure menu offerings and promotions align with guest expectations.
• Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage budgets to optimize profitability.
• Organize and supervise shifts.
• Manage and lead staff.
• Training and evaluate staff performance.
• Respond efficiently to customer questions and complaints.
• Estimate consumption, forecast requirements and maintain inventory.
• Manage restaurant supplies, control costs and minimize waste.
• Nurture a positive working environment.
• Plan and execute special events, promotions, and seasonal offerings to attract and retain guests.
• Ensure compliance with all local and national regulations.
Requirements and qualifications:
• A minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Restaurant or Lounge Manager or similar role.
• Good knowledge of Greek and English Language.
• Extensive food and wine knowledge.
• Computer literacy
• Familiarity with restaurant management software.
• Experience in event planning.
• Strong leadership, motivational and people skills.
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
• Team player.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house management.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
• Culinary/ Hospitality school diploma or degree will be considered as an advantage.
